This album is 30 years old today. I bought it in 1991 when i was 11. The first album i ever bought. The reason being the amazing artwork. It stood out in a shop filled with crap pop music albums covers with there pink and pastel colouring, trademark of that early nineties period. I was allowed to buy an album and instantly chose this. the satanic artwork, and skulls just appealed to my 11 year old sensibilities. the album content was a great find too.. songs about demons, wars, possessed children, prostitution and other such edgy subject mater had me rewinding the cassette after each song. From then on I was obsessed with music and art. This path is one i have followed ever since, sometimes I wasn't sure what i would end up doing but somehow i have ended up doing what in a way i always felt a passion for. I like to think that this album cover started it all. I have yet to fond any music that effects me in the same way as this album.. Maybe its a nostalgia thing... Don't know. But i stick this on and I am 11 years old again in my kitchen listening to this over and over on a little mono cassette recorder.
